The Top Doctors in North Carolina

Dr. Mark Hutchin has been named one of the top NC doctors by Business North Carolina in the December 2021 issue.

Each year Business North Carolina publishes a list of North Carolina’s top doctors, and our very own Dr. Mark Hutchin made the list! The list featured 56 specialties and named 39 doctors in dermatology. Only three of the dermatologists recognized were located in Asheville.

About the Report

DataJoe Research, a software and research company specializing in data collection and verification, compiled the report for the magazine. It began with an online peer-voting process and also cited government sources. Then, it tallied the votes per category and verified that each winner had a current, active license status with the state regulatory board. It also excluded any doctor who has been disciplined by the state regulatory board.

As a caveat, if doctors are not listed in this report, they can still be great doctors, including one of our favorite Asheville dermatologists, Dr. L. Evan Michael.

The research company says, “We take time and energy to ensure fair voting, although we understand that the results of this survey nomination are not an objective metric. We certainly do not discount the fact that many, many good and effective doctors may not appear on the list.”

Congratulations, Dr. Hutchin!

That all being said, we would like to congratulate Dr. Hutchin for being honored for his hard work and excellence in the field of dermatology. We definitely agree he is among the top doctors in our state.
